Majority of stray animals lack access to medical care. Veterinary medicine is considered the biggest expense for animal rescuers when it comes to animal care. In 2019 The Feline Foundation inaugurated the first-of-its-kind, fully non-profit Community Veterinary Clinic so that no animal in the city would be without access to basic healthcare. The Clinic offers a range of services including routine check-ups and health consults urgent care for injuries and diseases diagnostics tests X-ray imaging Vaccinations and sterilization Low-cost x-ray imaging for stray animals has helped diagnose fractures or internal injuries from road accidents. The stray animals are brought in by animal feeders, other animal welfare groups, and good Samaritans who find stray animals in need of help. Since 2019 The Feline Foundation have catered to over 5000 patients in need, with a monthly patient flow of 400+ cats and dogs. The average cost of emergency lifesaving surgery for a stray animal is Rs 5000.
